New York alt rock trio Sunflower Bean is celebrating its new EP, “Shake,” with a string of club show underplays, including earlier this week at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, with the band noting from the stage that it’s the group’s favorite stage to play in the city and “where it all started.”
The five songs on “Shake” highlight a darker and heavier side of Sunflower Bean and marks the band’s first fully self-produced, self-recorded release.
Upcoming shows include Zebulon in LA (Oct. 9), The Empty Bottle in Chicago (Oct. 12) and a return to New York for the first United Sounds NYC Festival on Oct. 25 in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
