Mark Knopfler has announced a 36-city North American tour to promote the March 17 release of his upcoming eighth solo album, “Tracker.” The tour, which begins Sept. 10 in Vancouver, includes stops at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, N.J. (Oct. 16), the Academy of Music in Philadelphia (Oct. 17) and the Beacon Theater (Oct. 20). The complete tour dates are listed below.
“Part of the fun is thinking what you might have a go at, for a new tour,” Knopfler, who rose to fame as the leader of Dire Straits, said in a press release. “For me, that’s part of the joy of it, getting that little crew together again, and setting sail once again. It’s a real adventure.”
