TERRIBLE THINGS: FIRST PHILLY HEADLINE SHOW TONIGHT

Terrible Things — a supergroup of sorts fronted by Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday) and featuring Josh Eppard (Coheed & Cambria), Andy Jackson (Hot Rod Circuit) and Brian Weaver (Silvertide) — has a huge show tonight at the North Star Bar: the recently formed group’s first-ever headlining Philadelphia, a homecoming for Philly guys Mascherino and Weaver.

The band’s self-titled debut was released last year on Universal Motown and earned strong reviews from Alternative Press, Newsday and others and is a conceptual piece based on fires that ravaged Mascherino’s hometown of Coatesville. Terrible Things will perform on all dates of this summer’s Vans Warped Tour — which will include a third Northeastern Pa. show for the band, which has already performed at Wilkes University and Eleanor Rigby’s.
