JAY LUKE DEBUTS NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO, ‘YOU’LL NEVER BEAT THE ADDICTION’

Scranton hard rock and heavy metal artist Jay Luke has released his new single, “You’ll Never Beat the Addiction,” as well as its music video. The song is a driving, energetic track reminiscent of British New Wave of Heavy Metal bands such as Iron Maiden and maybe a touch of Queensryche, with anthemic, dual guitars and dark lyrics like:

“I’m gonna help you to destroy your dreams
I’ll tear you open at the seams
There’s nothing left you lost your bet and your soul belongs to me
The face in the mirror cries of pain and misery
But look around you’re on the ground and you’re crawling back to me”

You can check out the track as well as the video, produced by Mary Frances Jackson and Chris Balton, below. Last year, we did a video interview with Jay about his album “Alone in the Crowd,” his songwriting process and inspirations as well his approach to livestream performances, which you can view here.
