MIZ & THE NATIONAL RESERVE BRING ROOTS ROCK JAMS TO KIRBY CENTER

Brooklyn’s The National Reserve and Northeastern Pa.’s Miz performed at the FM Kirby Center earlier this month as part of the venue’s Chandelier Lobby Series.

The National Reserve most recently released the album “Motel La Grange” and has played several high-profile shows, including the Philadelphia Folk Festival and opening slots for the Tedeschi Trucks band in 2018 and Blackberry Smoke in 2017, both at the Kirby Center.

Miz, the namesake of singer/songwriter/guitarist Mike Mizwinski, in January released his latest studio record, “A Year Ago Today.” In addition to countless headlining shows and touring all over the country and Europe, he has opened for a who’s who of rock and folk A-listers, including Jason Isbell, The Wallflowers, Blues Traveler, Derek Trucks, America, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shawn Colvin, Leon Russell, Chris Isaak, Peter Wolf, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Jackie Greene and Railroad Earth.
