Manchester, England, blues guitar phenom Matt Schofield and his band performed recently at the River Street Jazz Cafe. Schofield released his latest studio album, “Far As I Can See,” in February.
Called “the U.K.’s most exciting blues guitarist” by Guitarist magazine, Schofield has won a slew of major awards, including the British Blues Awards Guitarist of the Year in 2010, 2011 and 2012 (earning him a spot in the British Blues Awards Hall of Fame), the British Blues Awards Album of the Year in 2010 and the Mojo Magazine Blues Album of the Year in 2011.
Conincidentally, Schofield released “Live at the Jazz Cafe!” — recorded at the London Jazz Cafe — in 2005.
