Heavy Blonde today releases a trailer for the band’s debut album “Heatwave.” The video was compiled and edited by Baxter Pancake, and it can be seen here exclusively.
The band, which features former members of And The Moneynotes and Okay Paddy, recorded “Heatwave” at Miner Street Recordings in Philadelphia in sessions helmed by Nick Krill of The Spinto Band and Teen Men; Krill is also a current touring member of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
The core of the band is Mike Williams, Roy Williams and Jeff “Setty” Hopkins, all former members of And The Moneynotes. Pat Finnerty and Brian Craig, both formerly of And The Moneynotes and Okay Paddy, played on the album, as did JP Biondo of Cabinet and Nick Driscoll.
A release date for “Heatwave” has not yet been announced.
Heavy Blonde has played a handful of shows, including a performance on the Highway 81 Revisited stage at Arts on the Square in Scranton in July. More shows will be announced soon.
