Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness came through New York on his latest set of dates, the Hello Gone Days Tour, co-headlining with Dashboard Confessional on Friday, Aug. 12. Playing a full 75-minute set as the sun set over the city, McMahon gave it his all to the crowd on the rooftop at Pier 17, playing a mix of songs that he wrote in high school, while living in New York, and even debuting a single he wrote for his wife, “Stars,” released today.
McMahon and Dashboard’s co-headline dates continue through Sept. 9 as they wind through cities including Baltimore and Charlotte before heading west to Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle and more. McMahon will then host his 40th Birthday Bash with special guest The Juliana Theory on Sept. 9 at House of Blues in Anaheim. On Nov. 11, he’ll host the 13th annual Dear Jack Benefit Concert at House of Blues in Chicago.
