AMERICAN BUFFALO GHOST EXPLORES ‘FOLK SONGS AND THE WEIRD AMERICANA’ (EXCLUSIVE)

After scrapping an album he felt did not represent his true feelings and musical approach, Sean Flynn, who performs as American Buffalo Ghost, today released another, entirely different, stripped-down and honest album called “Folk Songs and the Weird Americana.”

Flynn recorded the new album in just nine hours in February at Windmill Agency in Mt. Cobb, Pa.

We recently chatted with the Scranton-area singer, songwriter and guitarist about his decision to abandon one album and pursue another, how he blended his own songs with traditionals and covers, and easing back into live gigs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The second clip is a short documentary by Tim McDermott that follows Flynn’s recording process during those brief sessions for the album and premieres here today.

The new album is available at Bandcamp now and will be available Spotify, iTunes and Amazon soon, as well as on CD.
