SCRANTON — The Electric City Music Conference has officially opened nominations for the Steamtown Music Awards. From May 1 through July 1, fans can nominate their favorite NEPA bands for awards by visiting http://www.electriccitymusicconference.com/awards/
More than 20 awards will be presented to NEPA’s top performers at the ceremony to be held on Oct. 10. The award show will feature live performances by bands and DJs and serve as the opening ceremony for the Electric City Music Conference.
A second installment of bands have also been announced for the ECMC. Scranton bluegrass standouts the Coal Town Rounders have signed on to play the festival, along with Family Animals, Shorthand, Skin-N-Bones, Blinded Passenger, Suze, An Autumn Sunrise, Keep Coming Back, Aayu, Standoff!, Lightweight, The Fallen, Destination West, Crock Pot Abduction, Sucker, Kids Laughing At Pedestrians and The Daymen.
The Irish Wolf Pub and the New Penny have been added to the list of confirmed venues.
More performers and venues will be announced at Highway 81 Revisited leading up to the event weekend.
