Iggy Pop’s performance on “Austin City Limits,” featuring a band including Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal) aired Saturday night on PBS stations, one day after the release of “Post Pop Depression: Live At The Royal Albert Hall” on DVD, Blu-ray, DVD+2CD and digital. The live album will also be released on vinyl on Feb. 10
The Royal Albert Hall concert was held in support of “Post Pop Depression,” the studio album co-created by Pop and Homme, which entered the U.S. charts at No. 17, immediately making it Pop’s top-charting U.S. solo album.

Neil Young to release studio album in December
Neil Young will release a new studio album, “Peace Trail,” on Dec. 2.
From Rolling Stone:
Young wrote and recorded Peace Trail not long after the release of Earth, a massive record featuring songs recorded during his 2015 tour with Promise of the Real and mixed with wildlife sounds. The more conventional Peace Trail was recorded at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-la Studios and is reportedly a primarily acoustic effort, with Jim Keltner on drums and Paul Bushnell on bass. Young co-produced the LP with John Hanlon, who also mixed the record.
