TIGERS JAW RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘LEMON MOUTH,’ ALBUM SET FOR MARCH 5

Tigers Jaw on Wednesday released “Lemon Mouth,” the second single from the Scranton band’s upcoming LP, “I Won’t Care How You Remember Me.”

“The lyrics for ‘Lemon Mouth’ are very personal and introspective,” keyboardist/vocalist Brianna Collins said in a press release. “Sometimes self-reflection only happens for me when I’m thinking about characteristics that I want to change about myself. It can look like this sort of scanning of my own habits, things that are so consistent and familiar — but I can’t figure out the reason why I do them.”

The song started as a demo by Collins and bassist Colin Gorman before becoming a full-band track with guitarist/vocalist Ben Walsh and drummer Teddy Roberts.

“Lemon Mouth” follows the album’s first single, “Cat’s Cradle,” released in October. “Cat’s Cradle” landed a coveted spot on the New York Times Playlist, where critic Lindsay Zoladz called it “a confident step out of the shadow of the past and into the band’s future.”

“I Won’t Care How You Remember Me,” produced by Will Yip, will be the band’s first full-length since 2017’s “Spin.”
