PEACH FESTIVAL RETURNS AUGUST 13-16, 2015

PEACH FESTIVAL RETURNS AUGUST 13-16, 2015

The Peach Music Festival will return for a fourth year on Aug. 13, 14, 15 and 16 at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pa., concert promoter Live Nation has announced.  A lineup for Peach 2015 has not been released.

The Allman Brothers Band, who curated the festival since its innaugural year, played what it said would be the group’s final show on Oct. 28, so the ABB are not expected to perform at this year’s Peach. A quote from Gregg Allman is included in the press release, however, so the reasonable assumption is that he will perform with his own band, as he has been doing for several years in addition to his tours with the ABB.

“I can’t wait to be back at the Peach in 2015,” Allman said in the press release. “The fans at Montage love what we do so much and the bands feed off that. The Peach is always a great time.”

Other artsists from the Allmans family who have performed at Peach in the past include Gov’t Mule, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Jamioe’s Jasssz Band; we’d expect to see at least a few of those acts on the 2015 bill. Also, if Bob Weir, who canceled his scheduled appearance at Peach 2014, resumes touring, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him, either with Ratdog or one of his other projects, to make a return to the festival, where he was a popular (and busy) fixture in 2013.

If you want to roll the dice and buy discounted tickets without knowledge of the lineup, here’s some info: Early-bird tickets are only $99 beginning Monday, Dec. 22 at Noon EST. Early-bird reserved tickets, VIP tickets, travel packages and camping packages are also available. For full details, go to ThePeachMusicFestival.com.
