OF MONTREAL AT LE POISSON ROUGE

NEW YORK — of Montreal played a sold-out show at the intimate Le Poisson Rouge — 700-person capacity — in New York City’s Village Gate Sunday night.  Touring in support of last year’s “Lousy with Sylvianbriar,” “the Athens, Ga.-based collective played a set made up of songs from the new album as well as cuts from its back catalog.

of Montreal’s tour continues tonight at Union Transfer in Philadelphia and wraps up May 18 at Cat’s Cradle Carrboro, N.C.  A documentary about the band, “The Past Is A Grotesque Animal,” is set for a June 24 release.
