Cautious Clay was a bit reminiscent during his show at Brooklyn Steel on Saturday night — the last one of his Karma + Friends Tour in North America. Telling us about his time as a real estate agent in New York City and his flute beatboxing origins with his mentor Greg Pattillo (who was in attendance), it was a night that felt as intimate as it did grand.

The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cleveland will next play in Europe in June, including a slot at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain. Later in the summer he’ll open some shows for Jack White in the U.S.
