It was a low-key show after midnight at Bowery Ballroom for Soccer Mommy as part of the Gov Ball After Dark series on Friday, June 10. With the band tuning between each song and talking to the crowd about her upcoming album later this month, “Sometimes, Forever,” it felt like we were just hanging with Sophie Allison and her band as they gave each song their all.
“Sometimes Forever,” out June 24, will be Soccer Mommy’s third full-length and the follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2020 release, “Color Theory.” Next up for Allison and company is a run of dates overseas, including opening for The War on Drugs in Bristol, UK, on June 27, and supporting Haim in Dublin, Ireland, on June 28.
