New Jersey indie standouts Real Estate returned to New York on April 18, just a few months after playing their new album, “Daniel,” in its entirety at Union Pool. Last Thursday’s show at Webster Hall included eight tracks from “Daniel” but also selections from across four other albums.
Real Estate — Martin Courtney (vocals, guitar), Alex Bleeker (bass, vocals), Matt Kallman (keyboards), Julian Lynch (guitar) and Sammi Niss (drums) — released “Daniel,” the band’s sixth, on Feb. 23. The band worked with Grammy-winning producer Daniel Tashian, known for his work with Kacey Musgraves. (Tashian also worked with Sarah Jarosz on her new album, “Polaroid Lovers.” She speaks about that and other collaborations in a recent interview with Highway 81.)
Real Estate will perform on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday night. Tour dates pick up on May 16 in Houston.
