Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver founding member Duff McKagan played an intimate set at Le Poisson Rouge last week, supporting last year’s solo album “Lighthouse.” McKagan, who told the audience “I’m playing with you, not in front of you,” featured tracks from “Lighthouse” as well as covers of The Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” GnR’s “You’re Crazy,” Johnny Thunders’ “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory” and David Bowie’s “Heroes,” which McKagan recently released. He also included a new track, “True To The Death Rock N’ Roll Ballad,” and a sit-in by Lee Ving on “All Turning Lose.” Range War, the band led by Ving, of Fear, was an opener on the bill.

McKagan’s tour will roll through Portland, Ore., on Nov. 18 and his hometown of Seattle on Nov. 20. McKagan has released a deluxe edition of “Lighthouse,” which features eight additional tracks and three live videos filmed last December at Easy Street Records in Seattle, which can be viewed in its entirety via YouTube HERE. And earlier this year, he put out the double album “Tenderness: Live in Los Angeles.”
