California trio Covet brought its spring tour to Le Poisson Rouge in the West Village on May 19. The instrumental group performed music from releases including its full-length debut, “Technicolor” (2020), and previewed material from its recently completed upcoming album.
Guitarist Yvette Young, of San Jose, known for her finger-tapping style, formed Covet in 2014.
The band plays next in Toronto on May 25 at Velvet Underground before a run of dates in the Midwest, Pacific Northwest and West Coast, wrapping up June 11 at El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. In August, Covet heads to the UK for shows in England and Scotland.
