AWKWARD SILENCE REUNITES FOR FIRST SHOW SINCE 2010

Scranton band Awkward Silence, with members now scattered across the country, will reunite on Saturday for their first show since 2010.

The band will perform at The Bog (341 Adams Ave., Scranton) Saturday night as part of the Electric City Music Conference. Also on the bill will be A Fire With Friends, Everything Turned To Color, Pity Party and Suze. You can find more info at the Facebook event invite here.

Active in the mid-2000s, Awkward Silence – James Sanderson (vocals/guitar), Steve Zampano (guitar/violin), Chet Williams (bass/vocals/other) Harrison Wolff (bass), Andrew Cutillo (guitar/piano) and Robert Salazar (drums/percussion) – was signed to Radial Noise Records. The band earned a slot on the Scranton stop of the Warped Tour in 2009.

We asked Salazar what the members of the band have been up to since 2010, and this is what he had to say:

“Andrew is traveling from D.C. where he’s a pencil pusher and does acoustic Bruce Springsteen covers. James comes from Boston where he competes in Magic the Gathering tournaments and plays in Lesser Animals. Chet Williams comes from Philly where he plays in Roof Doctor. Steve still lives in Scranton. He’s a bread baker and recording engineer. Robert works in film and theater in Chicago and plays in Boo Baby.”
