Austin’s Culture Wars, touring in support of their debut album “Don’t Speak,” headlined Irving Plaza on Monday.
The LP was a long time in the making.
“We started writing the album around 2020,” frontman TK told the UK publication Soundsphere after a gig in Manchester. “We spent a long time redesigning the band essentially. Figuring out how to do it right and write better songs.”
Culture Wars’ tour continues Sept. 26 in Cambridge, Mass., before swinging through the midwest and west coast. In November they will support LANY in Asia.
