HANNAH COHEN CLIMBS ‘EARTHSTAR MOUNTAIN’ AT MUSIC HALL OF WILLIAMSBURG

Catskills-based indie singer-songwriter Hannah Cohen performed last week at Music Hall of Williamsburg in support of her critically acclaimed fourth album, “Earthstar Mountain.”

Released in March on Congrats Records/Bella Union, the album was called “one of the best indie releases of the year” by Rolling Stone, and the single “Summer Sweat” has racked up nearly 13 million streams on Spotify, which named it one of its Songs of the Summer.

Cohen recorded “Earthstar Mountain” at Flying Cloud, the studio operated by Cohen and her husband Sam Evian, the musician and producer. Produced by Evian, the album features guest slots from Sufjan Stevens, Clairo and others.

Since last month, Cohen has been releasing videos in her “Flying Cloud Tapes” series, a collection of live performances from the studio.

Cohen will perform with Evian in Australia in February and March she has some festival dates in the US scheduled in March and May.
