WEEKEND ROUNDUP: PEACH FEST RETURNS, HEAR A NEW DYLAN SONG, MORE RYAN ADAMS TOUR DATES

Live Nation announced this week that the Peach Music Festival will return to Montage Mountain in Scranton for its sixth edition from Aug. 10 to Aug. 13 this summer. A “Blind Faith Presale” will start at noon Wednesday, Feb. 22. Artists have not yet been announced. For more information, visit the festival’s website.

BOB DYLAN SHARES “MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE”

Bob Dylan has shared “My One and Only Love,” the second track fro his upcoming 3-CD album, “Triplicate.” The album features 30 “brand new recordings of classic American songs presented in three individually named and thematically arranged 10-song sequences.” “Triplicate” will follow Dylan’s most recent studio albums, “Shadows In The Night” (2015) and “Fallen Angels” (2016), which also exclusively contained his versions of classic songs, all of which were recorded by Frank Sinatra at one point.

The new album will be released March 31. You can hear “My One and Only Love” below.

RYAN ADAMS ADDS TOUR DATES

On Friday, Ryan Adams released his latest studio album, “Prisoner,” and announced more tour dates, including stops at the Beacon Theatre, the Greek Theatres in Berkeley and Los Angeles, and Red Rocks. Pre-sale for the new dates (in bold) begins Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. local time, and general on-sale begins Friday, Feb. 24, at 10 a.m. local time; sales for the Milwaukee show will begin at noon on those same dates.

Adams has also announced that he has teamed with Beats 1 for his own show, “The Midnight Wave,” which debuted at midnight PST on Feb. 19 and will air every other week. To tune in, click here.

ECMC RETURNS

The Electric City Music Conference will return to Scranton from Sept. 14 through Sept. 16. The event will again feature a multi-venue music festival, conferences and panels with music industry professionals and the Steamtown Music Awards.

Applications to play the ECMC are now open. Local bands from Northeastern Pennsylvania can apply at electriccitymusicconference.com, while regional and national bands can apply via Sonicbids.

The first announced performers are EM Lucas Hex (formerly Drew Breeze), The Sellout Soundtrack, DJ Hersh, Behind the Grey, Alma Mater, The Aeagen, Uman Era, Tony Halchak, Permanence and Moral Code.

The theme of this year’s even is “Education, Performance and Acknowledgment.”

Nominations for the Steamtown Music Awards will open on March 1, 2017.
