PENNSYLVANIA BLUES FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL LINEUP

PENNSYLVANIA BLUES FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL LINEUP

The inaugural Pennsylvania Blues Festival, which will be held July 30 and July 31 at Blue Mountain Ski Area, has announced its lineup, which includes Cyril Neville, Bettye LaVette, Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials, Otis Clay, The Lee Boys, Shemekia Copeland and many more (full lineup below).

The festival is produced by Michael Cloeren, the founder and producer of the Pocono Blues Festival, which ran from 1992 to 2010 at Jack Frost/Big Boulder.

“The setting is beautiful, a natural amphitheater and acoustically perfect,” Cloeren said in a press release. “Our goal with this year’s lineup is to showcase 15 national and international acoustic, electric, traditional and contemporary blues, soul, sacred steel gospel and New Orleans styles of music. Seven of these artists are returning after making major impacts on Pocono audiences, and the other eight artists have never performed before in the Poconos.”

The festival will be held on two stages: a tent stage and an outdoor main stage. A Friday night Pre-Fest Jam will be hosted by Chicago’s Studebaker John & The Hawks, and a Saturday night Post-Fest Jam will be hosted by Baltimore’s Big Daddy Stallings and his 7-piece band.
