“MUSIC ON THE MENU LIVE” MOVES TO THE RIVER

“Music On The Menu Live,” the only commercial radio show in the Northeastern Pa. market that exclusively features local music, is moving to 104.9 FM The River, beginning this Sunday. The show, which will run from 9-10 p.m., hosted by Alan K. Stout, had been heard Sunday nights on 102.3 FM The Mountain until The Mountain, and the show, recently moved to HD Radio.

“I had a great 10-year run at The Mountain and will always be grateful for the opportunities the station gave me,” Stout said in a press release. “But once they went to an HD radio and Internet signal, and were no longer on the FM band, it lost its luster to me. It’s great to be back on the FM dial and I really want to thank The River for this opportunity. Not only do I love the station, but it’s going to be fun to be broadcasting from Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. There’s so much energy there and they’ve been doing some exciting things with music. It’ll be nice to be in the middle of the action.”

Stout, who also organized the Weekender/Mountaingrown Original Music Series, Concert For A Cause and recent Music Motors & More event at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain, said live events in conjunction with the radio show are possible.

“Once we get the weekly radio show established there, I’m sure we’ll also be doing some events with live bands,” he said. “The River is a very community-oriented station, and Mohegan Sun is the same, so it’s going to be a great fit for the type of projects I like to get involved with. They’re good people. And they love music.”
