Foy Vance brought his Signs of Life tour to Webster Hall on Wednesday night along with fellow Northern Ireland singer-songwriter Gareth Dunlop. Vance is touring behind the “Signs of Life Album,” his sixth full-length and fifth on Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man records. Dunlop, who collaborated on the album, is playing bass in Vance’s band for this tour as well as playing an opening set.

Dunlop, who released his own new album, “Animal,” on April 22, recently spoke with Highway 81 Revisited about the record and his relationship with Vance. During his set Wednesday, he took out his phone and had the crowd sing “Happy Birthday” to his child.
