As a media partner of the event, we are pleased to exclusively announce the initial lineup of performers, panelists and venues for the Electric City Music Conference, which will be held Oct. 10-12 (Columbus Day weekend) in downtown Scranton.
The event will consist of a citywide music festival, panels hosted by music industry professionals and a local music awards ceremony. Event organizers intend to host more than 100 performers throughout 20 venues.
The first wave of venues to be announced: The Bog, Mulligan’s, Kildares, The V Spot and Thirst T’s.
The first wave of bands and solo artists to be announced : Graces Downfall, Rogue Chimp, A Fire With Friends, Abstract Peoples, Nowhere Slow, Endless Mike and the Beagle Club, Survay Says!, The Great Party, A Social State, Apache Chief, Behind the Grey, Eye on Attraction, Danger Bruno, DJ Hersh, DJ Ransom, DJ Tonez, DJ Woogie, D. Loom, Down to Six, Dustin Drevitch & the Electric Gentlemen, Governing Murphy, Jehiel Boner, Madrone, OurAfter, Silhouette Lies, Small Town Titans,and The Invisible Swordsmen.
Music industry professionals confirmed to participate in panels so far: Mark Woodbridge (Radium Records), Michael Lello (Highway 81 Revisited), Vince Volz (Double V Bookings/Legendary Dobbs talent buyer), Mackey Westbrook (Tom Taylor Presents/Crocodile Rock) and Christian Wagner (Pirate Press/AbsolutePunk.net).
The event will kick off Friday night with the Steamtown Music Awards, an awards show to honor the region’s best music. Saturday will consist of a large headlining act, an electronic dance party and panels throughout the day. Conferences and performances will continue Sunday.
More venues, performers and panelists will be announced periodically leading up to the event.
