PHILLY’S CLOCKWISE ON FIRE IS A NEW BAND OF OLD FRIENDS

Clockwise on Fire might be based in Philadelphia, but sonically, the new rock duo is all over the map. Embracing elements of  psychedelic rock, progressive rock, funk and alt rock, Tim Arnold and Brian Lynch showcase their omnivorous appetite on their self-titled debut album, released last week.

Arnold, known for his membership in Good Old War and performing with Circa Survive’s Anthony Green, and Lynch had known each other since middle school. They reconnected a few years ago to form a Primus tribute band called Los Bastardos before collaborating on the new music.

We recently caught up with Arnold, who plays drums, percussion, synths and keyboards for Clockwise on Fire, and Lynch, who handles guitar, bass, synths and keyboards (they share vocals) about their long-time musical partnership, what they are able to do with Clockwise on Fire that they haven’t been able to do in previous projects and their roadmap for the band down the road.
