STROUDSBURG, PA — The acclaimed and eclectic Wood Brothers — Oliver Wood on guitar and vocals and Chris Wood on bass, joined by multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix — recently brought their fall tour to the Sherman Theater. The show also featured a sit-in by Railroad Earth’s Andy Goessling.
Initially known primarily as a side project for Chris Wood of Medeski Martin & Wood, the group has since forged its own identity since forming more than a decade ago. Earlier this year, the band released “Live at the Barn,” recorded in 2016 at Levon Helm’s famed Barn studio/performance space in Woodstock, N.Y. The band is still in the midst of its fall tour and recently announced a winter tour, including shows at Union Transfer in Philadelphia on Jan. 28 and Irving Plaza in New York on Jan. 31.
