Butch Trucks and the Freight Train Band were scheduled to perform at the Ardmore Music Hall on Thursday, March 30. But obviously things took a turn in the wake of the Jan. 24 death of the founding Allman Brothers Band member and drummer. But the venue will make the best of a sad situation, and on the same date honor the memory of Trucks, including performances by members of the extended ABB family, featuring past and present members of Les Brers, Butch Trucks & the Freight Train Band, The Gregg Allman Band, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band and the Dickey Betts Band
Midnight North, featuring Grahame Lesh, the son of the Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh, will open the night.
Net proceeds from the night will go to The Big House Foundation, c/o Butch Trucks fund, which benefits The Allman Brothers Band museum and educational programs. Tickets are $25 in advance, and reserved seating tickets are available as well, which guarantee you a seat for the night. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.ArdmoreMusic.com.
