Deerhoof, touring behind what they are calling their “debut studio album,” performed at Elsewhere in Brooklyn on April 4.
“Miracle Level,” released in March, marks the first time the veteran experimental group has made an album entirely in a professional studio: recording, mixing and mastering and working with a producer. The album is the 19th of what would more loosely be considered studio albums by Deerhoof, however.
“Miracle Level” is also the first Deerhoof album to be sung entirely in Japanese.
Deerhoof on May 3 will be playing a KEXP session in Seattle that is free and open to the public (registration is required and limited) the day before their show in town at Neumo’s.
