BROOKLYN COMES ALIVE CELEBRATES FOURTH YEAR WITH SUPERGROUPS, TRIBUTES and JAMS

The fourth installment of Brooklyn Comes Alive took over Brooklyn Bowl, Music Hall of Williamsburg and Rough Trade on Sept. 29, featuring a slew of musicians playing in various incarnations, as well as the festival’s inaugural comedy set.

Notable performances included a tribute to Steely Dan; a tribute to Col. Bruce Hampton, Butch Trucks, Gregg Allman And Those We’ve Lost; a supergroup featuring Marc Brownstein, Borahm Lee, Alvin Ford Jr. and Khris Royal; another supergroup featuring Cory Henry, Nikki Glaspie, Scott Metzger, MonoNeon & Skerik; Jam Cruise Presents: The Jam Room, which featured late-night sets, one led by George Porter Jr. and the other led by Karina Rykman; and Purple Party: A Tribute to Prince.
